Since the late 1990’s we have developed our family enthusiasm towards interior design using our own home, initially, to experiment with different styles of decor. Being bored with decor in general we started to create mini-fantasies, based soundly in artistic history, incorporating mural painting, trompe l’oeil details (this being a French term meaning trick-of-the-eye) and hand-painted motifs. These ideas developed from the urge to create themed rooms. A Victorian parlour, Art Deco living room, Star Trek kitchen, Gothic bathroom, Medieval entrance and Arab Hall attic all showcase certain styles.

During 1999/2000 the diversity, attention to detail and unique outlook of our work were highlighted in the media several times. We were showcased in the ‘Fantasy Homes’ section of the ‘Real DIY Show’ on Tyne Tees Television. Another appearance on national T.V. was when we were finalists (6 from 10,000 entries) in the GMTV/Ideal Homes Decorator of the Year competition. Both of these programmes were followed up by features in the local press. Our biggest feature in the National press was as outright winners of the Mirror / Crown Wallpapers ‘Home of Inspiration’ competition judged by T.V.’s Linda Barker. We have gone on to produce interior design works for a number of private households as well as commercial and public outlets.

More recently we have developed our artistic skills in other complementary directions to include digital photographic manipulation, children’s books and desk top publishing as well as dabbling in music composition and recording.
